Kamogawa Canal

Kamogawa Canal refers to the part of Oto Canal, 9 km long from Kamogawa Confluence to Horizume-cho in Fushimi Ward. It was an important section connecting the canal to Yodogawa River in order to establish transportation by boat from Otsu to Osaka. There are many bridges with unique designs on the canal. Walking along the canal in spring, you can also enjoy cherry blossoms. Located near the Kamogawa Canal are Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine and the Sumizome Power Plant.
