A boat reservoir located near Nanzenji Temple. Boatmen loaded and unloaded cargo at the reservoir. They also took rest breaks there. Nanzenji Boat Reservoir is located downstream of the Keage Incline. The Oto Canal begins from here. Currently, there a large water fountain in the center of the reservoir. The fountain utilizes the height difference of the incline railways.
