Yamashina Canal is a part of the First Canal, that flows 4 km from the exit of the First Tunnel to Hinooka. Yamashina Canal has a promenade along it, and there are many sites to see along the promenade, including canal facilities, shrines, and temples. The promenade is one of the major sightseeing spots in Yamashina District, where you can enjoy beautiful scenery during each season: cherry blossoms in spring, green leaves in summer, colored leaves in autumn, and snow scapes in winter. You can see local people taking a walk along the promenade waving to the canal cruise passengers.
